For 2013, the official Theme framed by the UN Secretary-General’s campaign UNiTE to End Violence against Women, is Orange the World in 16 Days
As part of this initiative UNITE has proclaimed the 25th of every month as Orange Day. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the issue of violence against women and girls, not only once a year on 25 November (the International Day to End Violence against Women), but every month! UNiTE is asking supporters to wear orange every 25th of the month, share posts & tweet about the Day and to use and share the photo of the UNiTE Ribbon -- the new symbol for ending violence against women and girls.
